Medical Surveillance & Testing
Medicals | Hazardous substances
Statutory health surveillance and any other health surveillance including periodic medicals can be accommodated by Health for Industry either in our clinics, on your site or through our affiliated GP network. Our occupational physicians and designated Lead and Hazardous Substances Medical Officers manage health surveillance services and can assist in determining health surveillance requirements.
Medicals
Medicals conducted by Health For Industry can be tailored to your needs, whether in our clinic or on site. A basic medical may be all that is required, or substantially more complex requirements can be accommodated by our medical team. Our basic medical includes:
- Health questionnaire
- Weight and height
- Blood pressure
- Eye sight (short, long and colour vision)
- Urinalysis (for blood, protein and glucose) a Medical examination
More complex medicals may require additional tests such as:
- Audiometry (hearing test) and medical assessment of test
- Spirometry (lung function) and medical assessment of test
- Chest X Ray
- ECG
- Pathology (blood testing and other pathology)
- Urine drug screening
- Specific musculo skeletal assessments
Hazardous substances
Periodic health assessments are conducted for legislative compliance and may include testing for hazardous substances or testing to detect any early signs of occupational injury or illness.
